Run by father and son Dan and Dave Harding with the help of an amazing team, our lovely community chippie aims to create not only top quality food, but also an amazing experience for its customers. 

 

Fish and chips have been in the Harding family since 2007 - when we first purchased the premises. We have always strived to bring the best service and meals to our customers! We believe the best fish and chips should have nothing to hide, so we don't add salt, MSG or bulking agents to their natural batter mix. We also source the best quality fish and potatoes and cook them with care and passion. Our ethos and commitment is what led to us winning many national awards over the years.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

 

The deeds we have in our possession for this property date back to 1800's, where the records show that the building was a dwelling house and a bake house with associated premises.

 

The property has changed hands several times and people from all over the county have had interests in it, including a tins smith a

and a fell monger.

 

A fell monger deals in fells or sheepskins, someone who separates the wool from the pelts.

 

According to our records the premises became a Fish and Chip Shop in June 1928 thus making it Penrith’s longest established Fish and Chip Shop.
